| What
is currently on display? Due to the space constraint the current display is a representative sample of the items that reside locally. When a permanent "home" is found then the exhibition will be several times its current size. There is sufficient material now on display to occupy a visitor for an hour or so browsing, reading, questioning and listening to stories. There is a quiet comfortable place to sit outside on the verandah overlooking the paddocks leading down to the Warrego River. This green pasture of untamed grass is a wild and lovely play space to children and animals alike. The calls of the birds, the laughter of children romping and running accompanied by their ever faithful dogs, sometimes goats, and often mates riding ponies bareback is a wake up call to the truly important things of life. "They gave their tomorrows for our todays" -- Lest We Forget. |
