| ANZAC
DAY 2004 CHARLEVILLE QUEENSLAND |
|
![]() |
A brilliant outback Queensland day warm and calm. The cenotaph stands ready for the morning service. As usual attended by practically the whole town. School children neatly attired in uniforms, ex-service men and women marching with youthful swing and bright of eye; those too infirm to march pushed in wheelchairs by very proud young people; presently serving men and women swinging along at a very smart clip, sunlight dancing off boots... |
| The local member, Vaughan Johnson gave an off the cuff address that came from the heart and held all attention. Vaughan's uncle was a "railway man". | |
| The Lest We Forget Memorial Association set up a Display just across the road from the cenotaph in the historic Hotel Corones. | |
